- Level 2 (10-20 cm below surface) within a red-brown soil matrix. The test unit was within the perimiter of the surface tent ring.
- Comments
- The sample is from a presumed ASTt house feature that was directly below a tent ring. Sample contained "small chunks of charcoal mixed in soil." It was associated with "microblades, blades, blade-like flakes, a burin, retouched and used flakes, and one obsidian flake. Both sets of artifacts are typical of assemblages of the early Arctic Small Tool tradition..." (Schoenberg 1985:89).
