- Comments
This is a large site with about 26 house pits. Upper components indicate a Kamloops phase occupation. S-761, from the second component, is separated from the upper components by 2-3 cm of sterile deposits. Richards and Rousseau (1987) give the Borden number as EfQv-19 and assign this lower component to the Plateau phase.
Note that this date was originally associated with Borden number EfQu-19. Katrina Fast (Antiquus Archaeological Consultants Ltd.) pointed out this error and that the correct site designation is EfQv-19 (Meek-Tate, aka Tate): "Site EfQu-19 is on the other side of Shuswap Lake near Scotch Creek and is an isolated lithic find recorded in 1999: no radiocarbon samples were taken at EfQu-19."
