- Comments
- DgRw-4, False Narrows: This shell midden, about 2 km long on flats above the high tide water mark, contains Marpole and Developed Coast Salish phase components. Cairn burials are related to the latter phase, but the artifacts show a transition between the two phases. D.N. Abbott notes that GaK-2754 confirms the idea of a close relationship between the Marpole component at this site and that at Beach Grove (DgRs-1), based on burial practices, grave goods, and some similar artifact forms.
