Comments
DfRu-8, Helen Point: John McMurdo and Roy Carlson excavated different areas of this site, and a detailed faunal analysis was prepared by N. Boucher. Boucher lists 18 spatially defined assemblages that are distinguished by Carlson in his final report, and she uses these to divide the faunal collections from the site. Burley (1980: 32) lists four Marpole dates from GaK, citing a personal communication from R.L. Carlson, and Hutchinson (1992: 40) lists three from SFU, citing the unpublished version of Burley's Ph.D. dissertation. It is assumed in this database that GaK-4937 can be assigned to Carlson's assemblage 5 and the other three GaK dates to Carlson's assemblage 6. The three SFU dates are assumed to belong to Carlson's assemblage 3.
