- Area B, Feature 3, grid sq N-102, 24-32 cm bmgs. Late Prehistoric component. A small, steep-sided basin hearth dug from the lower part of Unit 3. First recognized 23 cm bmgs. Meas. 22 x 30 cm in dia. 13/5 cm deep. Grinding slab frags. were abundant near the hearth, with the only complete grinding slab on the site found, use side face down. Also nearby: handstones and utilized flakes, 2 sm C/N arrow pts. No stones, bones, flakes or artifacts found within the basin itself. Charcoal and fine-textured, very dark fill.
