- feature 79, pit, Sopris phase. Featue 79, a roasting pit in Area (Mound) B. Located just E of the NE edge of the 5LA1416B, Level II structure. Meas. 2.4 ft in dia., 1.2 ft deep. Fill contained abundant charcoal chunks, bone waste, debitage, a mano, seeds (type not mentioned). Digging stick marks along the walls, which were relatively straight; base was flat.
