- This cultural component is located ca. 3 meters above Archaic Horizon (Beta-139755) associated with submerged forest (GSC-6627). The associated diagnostic artifacts tentatively affiliated with Susquehanna. Charcoal sample removed from clay matrix directly in association with bone, lithic detritus, fire-cracked rock and red ochre. Stratigraphically significant in relation to earlier Archaic horizon at site.
