Comments
GaDp-1, Day Off 3: This is a 15 square metre scatter of flaking debris on the lake shore and in the shallows. The debitage was concentrated around a small hearth sampled for dating. About 200 lithic specimens, mainly flaking debris, were surface-collected from the site. Lithic materials were of local origin, with the exception of four flakes of Ramah chert found near the hearth. A lanceolate, square-based biface of dark grey chert was collected nearby in the shallows. The other formal tools consist of three biface fragments, a large retouched flake and two large flake cores. No faunal remains were found.
