- fire feature 2, a charcoal-stained, heavily compacted house floor with a ramp entrance. Charcoal from Fire Feature 2, a SS slab-lined hearth located in a side arroyo. Meas. at least 64 x 37 cm in dia., 14 cm deep (partial dimensions). Tops of the slabs were 243 cmbs. Fill contained relatively large amts of charcoal, burned daub, a large number of small, interior quartzite flakes. Latter is interpreted as extensive use of heat treatment. Two knife bases also recovered.
