- EjBe-7, Cowpath (Harp's West St. Modeste 1): McGhee and Tuck attribute this site to late Palaeoindian or early Maritime Archaic. Only I-8101 was available when McGhee and Tuck published their analysis, and they were suspicious of this date because it was based on scattered charcoal that might have been contaminated by forest fires and other processes. They suggested an age between 9000 and 8000 BP, and some of the dates obtained later appear to confirm this estimate. Tuck (1978) comments on each of the dates: I-8101 is probably acceptable for one of the more recent Juniper-Fowler components; SI-2604 probably dates a non-diagnostic stemmed point; SI-2605 is too recent for the triangular point complex and may pertain to Arrowhead Mine or mound projectile point forms; and SI-2606 probably applies to the triangular point complex rather than to stemmed points.
