Context
Feature 1, a small, shallow basin shaped hearth exposed in a 2-track road, meas. ca. 47 x 49 cm, 11 cm deep. A metate frag. was partially in the feature.. Fill was very black with charcoal and ash. Bottom and part of the sides were lined with 12 pieces of FCR. 2 flakes in the fill. A single charred grass seed in the fill, plus sagebrush charcoal and 4 charred bone frags.
