Feature 6, Excavation Area C. A pit discovered during testing in 1996. In units 211-212E 240-241N. Discovered at a depth of ca. 510-515 cmbd. Level of origin probably somewhat higher, somewhere in Stratum V. Probably over 10 cm deep; ca. 35 x 38 cm in dia.In cross section, it appears to be a natural swale in the lower sterile siltFlotation: Atriplex Chenopodium, Poaceae, Hordeum-type, Muhlenbergin-type, Rumex, and Scirpus.
