- DjAq-5, Back Harbour: The site is a small camp and workshop related to Maritime Archaic. The location was originally on a small point protruding into a pond, which is now a marsh. Several other small camps and a cemetery of the same culture are within 0.8 km of the site. The cemetery is the Curtis site (DjAq-1), previously dated between 3200 and 3700 BP. It was hoped that GSC-1411 would help to confirm the relationship between the cemetery and this camp at DjAq-5, but the result suggests historic re-use of this Archaic site. The Archaic assemblage is distinguished by well developed stone-grinding technology and a red ochre burial pattern.
