Context
Feature 14, situated on an eroded beach, downslope from and N of the intact part of the site. In plan view, it appered as a partial ring of fire-blackened cobles enclosing an irregularly shaped charcoal stain. Vertical profile showed the feature to be the base of a partialy rock-lined, basin-shaped hearth. Meas. 65 cm in dia; base was 28 cm below the erosional surface. Fill contained 14 quartzite flakes.
