- Charcoal from Hearth U, sample U1. Sample is from a partially exposed occupation floor (not the hearth) that slumped down into ist present position. Two samples were submitted for dating; U1 was rejected by excavator as too recent. (see B-51341). Hearth U', with no diagnostic artifacts, a questionable date, possibly slump associated with the pithouse B midden.
