Comments
CaDu-8, Cronkite: The site is located on the lowest terrace of a large intervale flooded annually. The assemblage produced cord-wrapped stick impressed pottery in conjunction with small basal-notched projectile points. It is the only component of this type being dated in the Mactaquic reservoir area. Two samples were submitted. GaK-1868 is a little earlier than expected but not unreasonable. GaK-1869 should have yielded a similar age. An earlier component at this site is not indicated by the cultural materials, and GaK-1869 must be considered erroneous.
