- From the upper part of Unit 2, directly underlying Unit 1. This is a mixed layer w/ lenses of charcoal in the area where the sample was taken. Farther S, the unit becomes darker, almost black, with large concentrations of charcoal. A second C14 sample was taken from the latter area. The 2 dates are ca. 750 years different in age. (See B-13042).
