Context
Charcoal from charcoal scattered around Feature 1, seen as a distinct oval red stain at a depth of ca. 18 cm bmgs. It meas. ca. 50 cm in dia., ca. 12 cm deep. Basin shaped. Fill: red soil in the entire basin plus light charcoal, plus scattered charcoal around the feature. Also in the vicinity around the feature: burned and unburned mule deer and elk long bone, together with quartzite flakes, and a few FSTs.
