Comments
PfJv-2, Tasealuk: Bielawski is not confident that the radiocarbon dates from this site are accurate age estimates. Beta-8951 was a small sample that may have been contaminated both in situ and due to poor collecting conditions, and it is somewhat younger than expected. Beta-8954 is "too early for the standard interpretation of the artifact styles represented" (Bielawski, 1989: 40). Beta-8955 is "too early for the artifacts collected throughout Locality F [and it] may also represent material percolating down the Tasealuk slope from an older context" (Bielawski, 1989: 56).
